The work of Juan Carlos Guerrerosantos explores the legibility and resonance of everyday life, weaving together a wide spectrum of references that range from the lyrical to the narrative, from pop culture to the classical or religious, and from the political often approached with irony to the deeply intimate.
His practice is satirical and provocative, yet always in dialogue with the ordinary, placing subjects under scrutiny while carefully considering both their immediate context and the broader present moment. Each piece emerges from diverse territories that address: social, digital, material, urban, aesthetic, or ecological highlighting what is often imperceptible and questioning the limits of what is considered possible or correct.
Drawing on his background in architecture and a strong interest in public space, Guerrerosantos conceives and executes each project with site-specific precision, turning every opportunity into a unique intervention that challenges perception and invites new forms of dialogue between art and its environment.
